  entry point to the Long Terrace Valley... a rip-off... visitors must pay an entrance fee of 35 yuan!

  walking through the back lanes to avoid using the main road... a good loophole to sneak into the valley without paying the ridiculous entrance fee

  beyond the road is a wooden broadwalk that leads back down to the valley floor

  horses was the main means of transportation in the valleys and mountains, but more for tourist use these days

  bridging the river, this rickety wooden bridge was the furthest point we ventured to in this valley  
  
  
   
  manure  
  collecting yak and horse manure for fertilizer and fuel purposes

  a young boy carrying an oversized basket in a village nearby

  fresh vegetables are imported from afar as the cold winters here does not favour fresh greens to grow
